Stereotypes

Romeo and Juliet is streotypical on the gender because usually the womens were thoght less and were not treated as the men were. But we still have to consider the fact that it was written centuries ago. Women were thought of less in that book, but now in the modernt times they are viewed equally. For example Sampson says to Gregory, “women being the weaker vessels, are ever thrust his maids to the wall.” He is saying that women are not as important and that they are weak, thus meaning they cant take what the men do in the story. He also stated that they are maids and it is protrayed in the story. Therefore the men in romeo and Juliet tend to be the more masculine as Sampson, one of Capulets servants, shows this masculinity by saying, “Draw, if you be men.” (I.i.64). Which proves that the men were protrayed masculine compared to te women and that the women are weak.

  1. Good Mubasher - but watch your grammar. There are quite a few grammatical errors.
